Refugee Week; 15th-21st June 2026

This Refugee Week, we’re celebrating Courage - from the Latin cor, meaning heart. Courage is the strength it takes to rebuild life, find belonging, and create a future in a new place.

We see courage every day in the young people we support. Many arrive in the UK alone, with little or no English and no local support network. Today, some are studying at college and university, including courses in pharmacology and biomedical sciences, while building friendships, communities and futures for themselves.

Our goal is to raise £1,500 to continue this work and ensure young people can access consistent, high-quality creative opportunities.

Your donation matters

Young people seeking refuge and asylum in the UK are some of the most vulnerable in our society. With your help we can give them the support, community and confidence they need to flourish. With new international conflicts frequently making headlines, we are receiving ever more young people fleeing wars, trafficking or other traumatic situations. While much of our restricted income comes from charitable grants, we are increasingly reliant on donations from members of the public to allow us to adapt quickly and effectively to this challenging and ever-changing world. As we are based in Croydon, home of the asylum intake unit, we are among the first destinations young people aim for/are referred to after arriving in the UK. Our focus on creative therapeutic methods such as music and art allows for a wide range of support, and our commitment to trauma-informed organisational working means we provide a truly safe and nurturing environment for our vulnerable young community.

£10 could…

…provide access for one young person to our weekly wellbeing class, to help them process their trauma creatively.

£20 could…

…help facilitate 1-1 sessions for one young person, in Education, Casework, Therapy, Music or Art.

£50 could…

…ensure one young person could attend our weekly music class, to help them develop creative, practical, and social skills.

£100 could…

…enable one young person to attend our Young Leaders Residential to develop their leadership and team-working skills

We look forward to sharing with you what our remarkable community can achieve.
